During the summer the town is bustling with entertainment. Art exhibitions, classical music in the Cathedral, strolling jazz bands, jousting on the river Herault and amazing firework displays. Guided walks thro the narrow cobbled streets of the old city. Restaurants are plentiful and varied - our favourites are mentioned in the information folder in the houses. Visit the Caveau in 5 rue Louis Blanc, Agde, for a wine tasting from Mas St Antoine. Three wine growers have combined their experience to create a range of fine wines. Beaches - Safe swimming from the golden sandy beaches of the Mediterranean just 3 km away. Grau d'Agde beach is the closest. There is also a 8km stretch of golden sandy beach between Agde and Sete.  |
